Valentine’s Weekend

We’re not super into Valentine’s Day over here, but I definitely enjoyed spending time this weekend with the people I love. Adam and I decided to have a little date night Friday night and walked into Fed Hill for dinner at Brendali. We split a bottle of white wine and had a great meal. We’ve been to Brendali a handful of times now are always surprised by just how good everything is. It was freezing out, so we definitely appreciated the hot rolls that started our meal. For our entrees Adam had the sausage and shrimp rigatoni special and I had the fettuccine bianco with shrimp and baby scallops. Both dishes were very rich and heavy and we ended up bringing home plenty of leftovers. We walked home a little tipsy and snuggled up to watch some episodes of the Office. Perfect start to the weekend!

Saturday morning we walked into Fed again, this time for breakfast and coffee at Dunkin and a stop at Light Street Nails for a quick mani. This color is called “Lovie Dovie” which I obvs couldn’t resist on Valentine’s weekend. After that we spent a few hours with our adorable nephew so our bro and sis-in-law could go out to lunch. We spent a couple hours playing with that cutie before going to the College Park for the Maryland basketball game. Despite an awesome student flash mob, it was definitely NOT our day and we got our butt’s kicked by Wisconsin.  I promptly crashed after we got back from the game and Adam went out with the guys to Max’s Belgian Beerfest.

Sunday included a girl’s lunch and shopping in Columbia (hellooo Macy’s shoes on sale for 75% off) before the usual trips to the grocery store and the gym. For Valentine’s dinner we went for pho soup and despite the fact that they forgot our summer rolls, it was delicious and another great cold winter meal.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend spent doing something you love with someone you love!
