Regular Weekend

Happy Monday (that’s an oxymoron isn’t it?). It felt like this past weekend was the first “regular” weekend in ages. It wasn’t a long weekend associated with a holiday,  we were in town and without a ton of obligations – it was great! Here’s a quick look back at what we did:

Friday night kicked off with dinner in Hampden with friends at 13.5% Wine Bar. We had a great time chatting and enjoyed some delicious wine before heading across the street to Gallery 788 to see Slow Lights perform.  This is definitely the most hipster night I’ve had in a long time. Gallery 788 describes itself as “an adaptive arts organization dedicated to presenting the breadth of artistic production unique to the region.” We drank cheap beer out of plastic cups and enjoyed an up close and personal view of the show.

Saturday was pretty low key, starting with a coffee date with Jeanette and a trip to the gym. After watching the Terps beat Wisconsin at the buzzer, we met my cousin for bowling in Pasadena. For dinner we picked up ramen from Mi & Yu (mmm can’t get enough) and watched football with friends.

Sunday morning I paid a visit to Charm City Run where I was fitted with brand new running shoes (working on those 2016 goals!). Sunday evening we got together with our girlfriends for a Golden Globes watch party potluck. I brought a veggie tray, Jeanette brought some yummy charcuterie, and our friends rounded out the meal with pulled buffalo chicken sliders, fruit salad, pasta salad and desserts. We had a great time munching while picking apart celeb outfits on the red carpet. We were split over JLo’s dress (I loved it!), hated Channing Tatum’s hair and thought Matt Damon was looking particularly fine.

What did you do this weekend? Did you watch the Golden Globes? Who was your best dressed?

So I got Brooks Ravenna’s but I think I may end up exchanging them. I have pretty flat feet and these are giving me blisters right at the arch of the shoe. 😦

I never heard of em, so I googled, and they look so cool! Sorry they didn’t work out.
I went to Holibird (sp?) for mine two years ago. I think it’s time for me to go back.
